From the time we booked the hunt until the hunt was completed, everything was handled in a personal and professional manner. I have been on several guided/outfitted hunts and this was by far the most enjoyable. I was impressed by how Wild Kakwa, The Houweling's and the guides all worked together to ensure that the hunter's expectations were met. The accommodations and meals were outstanding. I would like to give special thanks to my friend and guide Mel Hagen. Mel knew that I had an injured knee and worked at a pace that I could endure. Mel also shared his expertise and knowledge about elk, elk habitat, and elk behavior. In the end I killed a beautiful 6x6 bull elk. Thangs Again Mel!
